Before WHY
In 2020 Britain was locked in a Pandemic and our key NHS staff were often unable to buy food whilst at work .
We quickly responded to this and formed the NHS sandwich group! We were a team of eventually over 20 friends and colleagues who made delicious sandwiches , fabulous cakes, snacks and baked goodies for our doctors and nurses, who were on the frontline of saving lives during the most trying times
We delivered these every Monday. Our donations brought, joy, happiness, warmth from our community and were hugely appreciated by the hospitals and hospices we delivered to We continued every week throughout lockdown until hospital shops and canteens reopened We were commended by NHS directors and the Sheriff of Bedfordshire for our efforts.
